Burs made of carbide are the longest lasting burs. Use them on the toughest metals including platinum, titanium and even steel, or use them instead of your regular burs for extremely long service life on normal gold alloys.
All shanks are 3/32". Recommended speed: 2,000-10,000 r.p.m.These carbide 90 degree hart burs can be used for the second step of pave setting in hard metals.
After using the carbide twist drill to drill the starter holes in the first step of the process, use the appropriate size Carbide round bur to enlarge the hole. This creates a secure mount for the rondiste of the gem to be set.
